During the CES 2018 there are many companies that want to show themselves by presenting new products and, in this prestigious environment, even Tag Heuer wanted to say something. The famous swiss company in the luxury’s watch sector, infact, announced Connected Modular 41, a highly technologic modular smartwatch ideal for who has small wrists.
In our article, so, we decided to collect all the details about this smartwatch and about what it could represent for the future of the category, now ever more on the top.
Tag Heuer: all the details about the modular smartwatch for the smallest wrists
Almost all the smartwatches on the marketplace have a common defect, which is the one to have a big dial, not suitable for who has a thiny wrist. Fortunatelly Tag Heuer though to make something for them thanks to a watch that has a case of 41 millimeters, being more ergonomic and easy to wear. Even this new model, like the Connected 45, is focused on the system Android Wear and, besides to give the possibility to change the wristband (available in many colours and materials), buckles and wings, the dispaly is covered by a special coating in sapphire glass scratch resistant. The processor should be the Snapdragon Wear 2100 by Qualcomm and, thanks to its modularity, the smartwatch can transform itself from connected watch to meccanic watch, according to our needs. The Connected Modular 41 had the cooperation of Google and Intel and a waterproof body until 50 meters of depth, besides to a GPS and a NFC module. Tag Heuer and the future of the smartwatch
About the hardware specifics, the Connected Modular 41 has many improvements compared to the previous model, giving a display AMOLED of 390 x 390 pixel and 326 ppi which is even more light (up to 350 nits), besides to a double storage’s quantity and RAM which are respectively 8GB and 16GB. Obviusly the price of the smartwatch isn’t affordable by all the pockets, like happens often by the products of this luxury brand. Tag Heuer Connected Modular 41 will be sold at the price of 1100 euros and it will be available soon on the official site of the producer or in all the official shops and jewelry. Who doesn’t have any economic problem, can enjoy the Connected Modular 45 Full Diamond, a smartwatch encrusted with diamonds, exactly 589 with baguette’s shape. They are on the case of 45 mm in white gold 18 carats, on the fanlight, on the bend and on the wristband, for a total of 23,35 carats. The technical specifics, even if didn’t told on the release, should be similar to the traditional model, so circolar dispaly touchscreen of 1.39 inches realized with technology AMOLED and protected by sapphire glass, processor Intel Cloverdale Peak, connectivity GPS, NFC, WiFi, integrated battery of 410 mAh and operating system Android Wear 2.0.
Obviusly the price of the Modular 45 Full Diamond is really high, around 160.000 euros, and, like for the normal model, it will be possible to change the connected module with a classic meccanic one like the Calibre 5 to 3 hands or the chronograph Tourbillion certificated C.O.S.C.. At the moment there aren’t any information about the official release date. The luxury smartwatch is been presented to the Salon International De la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH 2018), an international event focused on the watches’ marketplace where they show all the most important news and where there are all the main brands of the sector.
