Like every year Forbes gives us the list of the richest men in the world, letting us know who are the global McDucks and how they made them fortune. Letting us dreaming, without even imagine how could be the lifes of those people which are now on the top. The world is changing and in an environment that is looking toward an ever more technological advanced future, the richest men in the world must came from the hi-tech world.
Jeff Bezos is the richest man in the world
All of us heard that to conquered the top was the Amazon‘s founder, Jeff Bezos. But who is this mega-billionaire that with his e-commerce beated the competitors and astonished the whole world? Jeff Bezos is the founder, the president and the CEO of Amazon, the biggest e-commerce company in the world. After that he founded Blue Origin, start up’s society for the spacial flights and bought The Washington Post. According to Forbes, Bezos became the richest man in the world on July of the 2017, with a persoal capital of 99,7 billions of dollars, passing Bill Gates, which at that time had a personal capital of 92,3 billions of dollars. In the 2018 he became the first man with a personal capital over the 100 billions of dollars, that according to the latest news became, the 3th of June of the 2018, 136 billions.
Bill Gates drops on the second place
Bill Gates became the riches man in the world in the 1995, and since that year he swings between the first positions, being overthrown for six times. Like we know Bill Gates had a crucial role in the informatic’s world, by founding the Microsoft, with Paul Allen, giving the life to the most spread operating system in the world and getting closer even the most sceptical ones to the computer.
Third and fourth place
At the third place we find Warren Buffett that, at almost ninty years old, is still considered the biggest investor ever, with a personal capital of 83 billions of dollars. Right after, at the fourth place we find the french Bernard Arnault, CEO of LVMH and the richest man of Europe.
Mark Zuckerberg
Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook, takes place in the fifth position, but his story is maybe the most exciting of all. Yes because the creator of the biggest social network in the world became billionaire in the 2007, when he was only 23 years old, after created, with some of his friends, Facebook, inside his room in the dormitory. The success was so quick that Zuckerberg became billionaire right after 3 years from the launch of Facebook, which, furthermore, started just as a joke. This year, in the 2018, he takes place in the fifth position, transforming his first billion in 71, during just a decade. Zuckerberg though didn’t stop right after his creation, during the last 10 years he bought Whatsapp, Instagram, Oculus Rift and a long list of companies. It is from the 2010 that every year Forbes puts him between the most influential peoples in the world, while in the same year crowned him at the first position of the 100 persons most influential in the informatic’s field. The followed year he reached the first position even in the list of the most influential jews in the world according to the Jerusalem Post.
Two chinese people from the hi-tech world between the first 20
Between the first 20 richest men in the world there are even two chinese known in the technology and the informatic’s world: Ma Huateng, founder of Tencent and WeChat, that takes place in the 17th position, and Jack Ma, founder of Alibaba, that takes place in the 20th place.
Furthermore, always from the technological field, at the eighth place there is Larry Page, founder of Google and CEO of Alphabet, while right after there is his business partner, the co-founder of Google and founder of Alphabet, Sergey Brin.
