Take pictures and breathtaking shots at high altitude today isn’t impossible: we just need a drone, creativity and passion for the photography. The civil use of the drones strongly increased for the photography and high altitude shots, really important even in the professional activities. Surely between the most famous drones’ companies there is the DJI. The DJI is the chinese colossus with a turnover of 18 billions, the top of the line of the products are the drones DJI Phantom and DJI Mavic.
High altitude pictures
The most beautiful pictures very often are shoted with a remote controlled drone through which we can obtain not only interactive photographies 2.0, but even shots really complicated and defined. The obsession to join the drones and the photography is called dronography.
By definition “the Dronography is the science, the art and the practical to create images and videos with the registration of lights or other electromagnetic radiations via flying drones around or up to somewhere“.
With those amazing instruments so it is possible to do a magic trip around the planet like for example, through the usage of the dronography, by Christian Grewe.
This professional drone pilot realized a mix of trip’s experiences through 12 different countries in a period of seven months with videos realised through a drone with camera 4K.
From the DJI Phantom 3 to the DJI Phantom 4 Pro
The Christian Grewe’s journey is been made using a DJI Phantom 3. He realised a real air global tour which includes immersive trips around the world.
It is sure that the world is ever more amazing when we have the ability to fly above it, especially if we can do it using the photography’s field. At high altitude, every landscape better shows its characteristics.
The previous example of dronography by Christian Grewe is been realized so thanks to the usage of DJI Phantom 3. After that this drone’s model evolved in a new model called DJI Phantom 4. This conquered many drones’ shops and consequently it managed a kind of monopoly.
But the DJI continues to surprise us after less then eight months from the release of Phantom 4, this is subjected to a strong and essential upgrade: was born its version Pro. It represents a revolution for this kind of drones.
The characteristics of the DJI Phantom 4 Pro
Between the characteristics we find out a further upgraded camera.
The official web site of the Dji shows the characteristics of the camera of the model Phantom 4 Pro:
“Camera with 1-inch 20MP Sensor:
The lens is custom made and it is composed by eight elements placed in seven groups. The model has the first camera DJI that uses a mechanic shutter, by removing the risk of rolling or distortion of the shutter.
It removes the errors that we can have when we take pictures of objects in rapid movement or when we fly at high speed. It is been improved the video processing, it supports videos H.264 4K at 60fps or H.265 4K at 30 fps, both of them at 100Mbps“.
Thanks to the new sensor CMOS, it will be possible to better balance the difference between lights and shadows, in a similar way to what happens with the photography HDR.
DJI was focused on this function because it is one of the biggest problem of the photography on air: the difference of light between sky and ground (the first one really lighted and the second one darker).
The characteristic and the main evolution of the last drone of the DJI is surely the camera. It isn’t a case that it is the exclusive model of professional graphics, photographers and cinematographers. Its performances are almost unique in the marketplace of the automatic drones.
