The “Center” in Arese, Milan

The Arese’s center is a really important shopping center, is been created by Michele De Lucchi, an international renown architect. It has 200 shops, 25 restaurant, a medical diagnostic center, a sports center and many meeting’s points.

The whole structure is been developed and built by following strict critera of energy saving and eco-sustainability.

This effort is been infact awarded: the Center is the winner of the EPSE AWARDS 2016 conquering the First Award in the category SUSTAINABILITY. Very peculiar is the cover of the shopping center realized in Glulam.

The Glulam is a wood realized with sustainable materials and never used before by no other shopping center.

The Center was even the winner in the category BEST NEW SHOPPING CENTRE, in the category Shopping Malls-Europe for the section Interiors and therefore it conquered the First Award to the CONFIMPRESE AWARDS 2018 in the category REAL ESTATE for their commerce and the innovative relationship with the customers.

The first italian shopping center monitored by a drone

The Center, besides to be the first one for many innovations, is even the first shopping center to use a drone to monitor its whole integrity.

That drone is the TITAN Long Endurance of the company Italdron. The drone controlls the two millions of meters square of the shopping center in Arese 24 hours per day, every day.

For the first time in Italy it’s used the drone’s video surveillance. To allow it infact the National Autority for the Civil Aviation (ENAC) had to issue for the first time the needed certification.

The video surveillance is getting better for the drone’s potentiality. A surveillance’s drone has the big advantage to automatically fly according to a previous programme of its route through GPS.

The advantages of the surveillance’s drones are the simplicity of the usage and their versatility. Use a surveillance’s drone request an important initial investment but it is lower compared with the cost of the classic surveillance made by physical people on the place.

In this way, one drone allows a constant surveillance’s system on many kilometers, that automatically reports to the operator.

The Titan Long Endurance (TitanLE)

The camera of the TitanLE is able to shot pictures in 4mpx and to record in full HD mode and it is fixed on damping’s buffer and moved by actuators direct drive, so to avoid the problem of the micro-moved.

The Titan Long Endurance is able to work in every condition: dust, humidity, wind. It is considered a clever solution to 3D maps and territory’s measurements. Its usage for the inspection perfectly matches with its technical characteristics.

The introduction of this surveillance’s system is newer for our Country that involved, infact, even the ENAC. Until now no infrastructures for common usage had never used a surveillance’s drone, even a little bit for the fear that a malfunction could make human loses.

Italdron allowed to pass by this indifference’s wall toward the drones, increasing its technologies so to substantially minimise the risks.

Anyway, during the day, when there are many people, the drone will monitor only the roof, while on night time it will fly over the whole Arese’s shopping center.
