The cold north sea, the fiords, the axes, the stocky and bearded warriors that land on the english coasts to fight against the anglo saxon kingdom. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla couldn’t be more viking than this. And here you have all you need to know about the viking saga.
The new serie of Assassin’s Creed, with the endless fight between the assassins and the templers, realized by Ubisoft, arrives in the cold north, in viking style. After the Egypt and the Ancient Greek, the north sea sees the strong viking ships surfing the water, as the background one more time to the endless battle of the assassins of Assassin’s Creed.
A look on Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
We are in the 873 wearing the shoes of the proud viking Evior, which is an ambivalent name, that will allow us, like we saw already previously, to choose our character between a man and a woman.
Evior will leave Norwey with his group of northmen, to arrive on the english coasts, where he will set his kingdom. Even in this chapter of the saga, as we discovered in the past, with the other videogames of the saga, the world that we will have to discover will have many analogies with the real history. First of all are the characters that we will meet during our adventure, like the saxon king Alfredo from Wessex.
Even though the historical notes, which are always present, this new chapter of the saga will be a bit more fantastic, with many supernatural elements.
In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla we will have to let our clan survive, we must build our home and be careful to all the details, to the dialogues, the upgrades, the political alleancies.
Obviusly, our vikings will meet the assassins, which is a topic character since the very first chapter. Evior, infact, as shown in the trailer, will receive the Hidden Blade and he will, maybe, convert himself to the Creed?
The gameplay
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be focused on many of the choices that we will take during our match, that will consequentially adapt the events. From the leaked informations it seems that the weapons will be another focal point of the videogame. There will be, infact, a large choice of them, the possibility to use two of them simultaneously, one on a hand and one on the other, and the possibility to upgrade them thanks to the runic.
The equipment that we will choose will be important too and it will definy the class of our viking. The map must satisfy even the most exigent, it might be one of the biggest one ever presented in the whole saga. There will be, infact, most of the Norwey and of the England, and the possibility to move through the sea, thanks to the viking ships.
Finally, it will be very welcome the return, as we mentioned previously, of the Hidden Blade.
The relationship between Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Vikings
We should notice the relationship that runs between Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and the successful tv serie Vikings. It’s not only about the stories that happen in the same historical period and that tells the same events, but there are many other aspects that connects the two sagas.
We need only two minutes of the trailer to notice them. The shaved hair on the side and the braids that fall on the shoulders of the protagonists. The face paintings of the same kind of blue. And how not to notice that one of the figure that appears on the trailer is alike Rollo? But maybe it isn’t only a coincidences, because to compose the sound track of the videogame will be the same songwriter of Vikings.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is already a success
There aren’t any certain news about the date of release of the videogame, even because of the delays caused by the current global health crisis. But some rumors tell about a possible release date which is the 15th of october 2020. Obviulsy these are only leaks.
But it’s sure, instead, that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is already a success, months before its release. Many are talking about it, infact, between bad and good reviews. But are the numbers to talk, and its trailer is the most viewed in the history of Ubisoft, meanwhile it remained for many weeks in the top trending of Twitter.
