Who never played at least one time to Super Mario Bros in the whole life Did you know that this year it celebrates 35 years? In occasion of this anniversary Nintendo proposes some news for passionated and not. Let’s see them together.
Super Mario Bros: the story of 2 brothers
At the beginning there was only Mario, the famous plumber with the red hat. We can see him for the first time inside the videogame Donkey Kong, a big “monkey” that kidnaped Mario’s girlfriend. The story was a review of the famous cartoon and comic book “Popey”.
In the 1983 to help Mario arrives his brother Luigi. He is a plumber too, buy taller and slimmer. Luigi as well as Mario has the mustache, but he always wears his green hat. Luigi was born by the need of a second player in the story of some videogames where the protagonist isn’t Donkey Kong anymore, but Mario himself.
Since there, Mario is the official mascotte of Nintendo.
The 35 years of Super Mario Bros
To celebrate these first 35 years of the famous plumber with the red hat, Nintendo thought to a serie of interesting initiatives.
It’s, infact, arriving the collection Super Mario 3D All-Stars, which is a collection with all the remaked versions of Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy. The platform chosen is the Switch, the new Game Boy of Nintendo.
This collection provides a serie of graphical arrangments new and original characteristics to amaze the passionated and the beginners. But that’s not all.
In february of 2021 another new will arrive, the most interesting one: it will be released Super Mario 3D World + Browser’s Fury. It will propose again the original concept proposed on Wii U, but it will have the mode co-op on-line or local and new Amiibo figures of Cat Mario and Cat Peach.
For who has a Switch, a Super experience
If you have a Swtich, you can play with an augmented experience because Nintendo proposes a subscription service (Nintendo Switch Online) that has a catalogue full of upgraded game experiences. An example? You will have Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels, Super Mario Bros. 2 and Super Mario Bros. 3, all of it with a 16-bit graphic perfect for the times that go.
It isn’t enough? With the subscription you will have a battle royale: Super Mario Bros. 35. It is a new competitive game where the main purpose is the one to fight all the other Marios (for a total of thirtyfive players).
Themed events
Between the end of this year and march 2021, Nintendo announced a serie of themed events to present the many initiatives connected with the 35 years of Mario. Especially there are two projects announced by the japanese videogames company with protagonist its sua mascotte: Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit and Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros.
The first one is a project that sees the serie of Mario Kart arriving up to the real world. How? They will give to the players the possibility to transform their house in a real track where to challenge three people in the multiplayer mode.
The second project instead is a tribute for the past. It is a tribute device for the old Game & Watch of the ’80s and it will allow to live the emotions of the old games of Mario inside a mini console. This device will work even as a watch and it will have a serie of surprises that only who will play will discover.
Partnership Universal
If you are a fan of Mario you surely watched the movie of the 1993 with Bob Hoskins. Well, another one is coming! Nintendo infact at the beginning of the year announced a partnership with Universal for the realization of another themed movie.
Always in cooperation with the cinema company it’s arriving the project of the realization of a fun park for the whole family inspired to Mario, characters that we will soon see realized even for the LEGO world.
The world of the Mario Bros is full of surprises, that for 35 years follow the growth of childrend and amaze the minds of the adults that need to relax.
